In early 2011, with the opening of the new science building on the Columbia Campus built by the reknowned architect José Rafael Moneo, Joe moved in. This gorgeous space, paired with Joe's single origin drip bar, espresso drinks and a light food menu, makes this location very popular to students, professors and locals alike.
Chris is a native Brooklynite raised on sock-brewed Bustelo at family gatherings, often guzzling stale deli coffee to keep him awake enough to attend school. No matter the form, coffee is sacred to him. In a past life as a physicist he turned coffee into theories. Now his passion is the search for the perfect cup.
Originally hailing from South Korea, Carrie has traveled far and wide in search for awesome coffee. Her journey started in Portland, Oregon, where the hall of the coffee gods resides. Ashley moved to the city from sunny Riverside, CA after completing her BA in Theatre Arts in '13. When not pouring latte's and doodling the name on your Joe cup, she is making props for Sleep No More, painting in the park, or off creating some new work of art at any opportunity. If you have any questions about Harry Potter, are a homesick native Californian, want to see incredibly adorable pictures of her baby nephew or just want a really great cup of coffee stop by the shop and introduce yourself.
Jeff serves as self-proclaimed Chief of Oatmeal Innovation and Oatmeal Czar Emeritus. When oatmeal related duties permit, he takes people’s orders and makes their coffee dreams come true as a barista in training. Additionally, he impresses- or mortifies depending on the source- his coworkers with his killer dance moves. He enjoys both making pourovers and drinking cortados, and moonlights as a sophomore at Columbia University.
