In 2009, this Upper West Side outpost opened to bring great coffee to an underserved community.
patrick is proud to be one of the upstate redheads. an actor and clown with a penchant for Shakespeare and Beckett, born in washington, dc, reared in seattle, and schooled in new york and london, sometimes he has a lot of feelings to share, but mostly he's happy to have so many lovely custies on the upper west side to talk to. he loves making pourovers, and thinks black coffee is more than a drink, it's a state of mind.
I'm Taylor. I am 23 and I am from Tennessee. I moved to New York in 2015 to become a professional ballet dancer. If I could be a pasta noodle, I would love to be bowtie but I'd probably be gnocchi because Im obsessed with potatoes. I was lucky to join Joe in November of 2016, and I hope to continue to grow in the company, ballet, and life in general.
Oh, and my favorite coffee is a black Americano. Or Irish coffee.
Anna is a barista at Joe Upper West Side. She grew up in Russia and the U.S. and studied Philosophy and Music as an undergraduate. Her favorite coffee is the Guji Yabitu Koba and she also loves cortados.
Tim studied English at The College of New Jersey and has been working in specialty coffee ever since. He's also been a cook, an arts administrator, a puppeteer, and a service technician; he likes coffee best. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, Liz, whom he also likes.
