from new york, indiana, and rhode island (in that order), brenda drank coffee in college to get through late-night commodity chain analyses of... coffee. she has a background in visual art, sustainable design, agro-food systems, and ice cream. newly arrived to philadelphia, she's on the lookout for the best brunch location in town (let her know!).
as the only current joey to already be named joey before coming to joe coffee, joey has no qualms with everyone sharing his name. he recently moved to philly from his hometown of washington, d.c. and brought a ton of music equipment with him. when not working on his coffee chops, joey likes to make noise with that music equipment, pickle everything from his csa, and watch really, really slow sci-fi films.
Danny used to be a true night owl, and then he started working in coffee shops. Now, he has grown to enjoy a pre-dawn bike ride through the city. When Danny is not pouring coffee, he is volunteering at a bicycle co-op, writing fiction, and backpacking the world bit by bit.
Born and raised in the pacific northwest, Nolan got into coffee when his parents inexplicably decided to teach their 15-year-old son how to use the espresso machine. He moved to Philly to study international relations, urban studies, and italian at the University of Pennsylvania. When he's not in class or working at Joe he likes to travel, disguise his Instagram obsession as "mobile photography", and read short stories.
