Our second spot to open in 2005, this bright and airy spot straddles the line between East and west village, is around the corner from union square and caters to all walks of life, with a good many University students from nyu and the new school.
Sean moved from San Diego to Bklyn a year ago. Music is his life; he plays multiple instruments and listens to a wide variety of music(though, a rocker at heart). Some favorite bands: My Bloody Valentine, Big Star, The Beach Boys, Gang of Four. Coffee was once just a day job until Sean moved to Bklyn where he found a new passion in the potential of amazing coffee. loves: cortados and coffee, black. also: Jack Kerouac, Carl Sagan, and Bill Murray.
you can usually find ann getting lost in a museum or running in the park if she's not enjoying her coffee with a really great dessert. cortados in the winter, cold brew lattes in the summer, and life is good.
After seeing a vision at the top of active volcano Mt. Tabor in Portland, Texas native Jonny Freihofer knew he needed move to NYC to serve its fine residents the best coffee he could make, though sad to end his 4 years in the dreamlike coastal rainforests of the Pacific NW. He rode his bike as fast as he could through the valleys, deserts, and canyons of the American West, stopping briefly in Austin to enjoy 2 cactus tacos and a Lone Star beer. Jonny makes deep house/dub techno music in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
